SdKfz. 251/9 Stummel Halftrack

Our “Stummel” (Stump) started life as a Czech Tatra OT-810 Post War halftrack. Built along similar lines as a German WWII SdKfz 251 halftrack, Czech OT-810’s are an affordable alternative to six-figured originals. Ours has been heavily modified and converted to resemble a SdKfz 251/9 D model, and features a 75mm Short Barreled L/24 cannon, used primarily to provide infantry support missions. In a pinch, it can be used in an anti-armor role, but its short barrel prevents it from truly having enough punch to be a dedicated Tank Killer. Crewed by 3 men, and known as a “Kanonenwagen” it can move four to six soldiers around the field. Weighing in at over 9 tons, and nearly 20 feet long, she is an excellent support piece.

WOW! What else can you say? A 75mm Cannon firing at night!!!

This is the best hobby in the world!
