FLAK 38

FLAK-38 20mm Anti-Aircraft Gun

Used primarily for local Anti-Aircraft defense, the FLAK-38 was a 20mm gun designed to traverse and elevate quickly and have a high rate of fire. An improved version of the FLAK-30, it boasted a higher rate of fire, with about 450 RPM capability. Fed from magazines that held 20 rounds each, it could and was often employed in an anti-infantry and ground support role. Our unit currently has 1 such example, and is awaiting the importation of a second example. Fired by a gas/propane charge, they are crewed by 2 to 3 members of our unit, and afford us protection from the dangerous Allied Air Forces as well as unwary enemy infantry and light vehicles.
